Interest

Chris was born in Wadena, Minnesota and grew up in the Midwest in wonderful Nebraska. Drawn to athletics, Chris has competed in football as well as track & field. Continuing his love of sports, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from California Lutheran University and then earned his MS degree in Kinesiology.

Chris moved to beautiful Olympia, WA in 2007 where he has continued his career as an Athletic Trainer in both the clinical setting as a sports medicine facility director and in the school setting. Chris loves spending time with his with his wife Kathy, and two kids Sami and Sydney. As a family, they have a passion for all the great outdoors activities the Pacific Northwest offers. Indoors, you can find Chris building Lego sets.

Chris currently serves on the board for the Washington State Athletic Trainers Association as the chair on The Committee for Professional Advancement as well as the Region 2 representative. He also facilitates coverage for community events such as the Capital City Marathon, Black Hills Triathlon, Capital to Bay Relay, Tacoma Trauma Women’s Football games and more!
