Physical Therapist (PT)

TITLE: Physical Therapist

Physical therapists are licensed professionals who hold a graduate degree from an accredited physical therapist program and have passed a licensure examination, and completed continuing professional educational requirements. Professional physical therapist education programs are offered as Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Degree, Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) or Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) Degree. A physical therapist may also earn a specialist credential in a particular field or type of physical therapy. Certification is not required but helps patients and peers identify practitioners with the special skill, knowledge and experience they need.
